Nuremberg, 16.08.2018 | Mobility researcher and social scientist Prof. Dr. Andreas Knie from Berlin is now working for Choice GmbH in an advisory capacity. Knie teaches at the TU Berlin and works at the Berlin Social Science Center. Knie becomes Choice's Head of Scientific Development and will support the company with further developing its digital platforms. In addition, Knie will assist with all matters concerning the political regulation of these platforms.
Andreas Knie worked for Deutsche Bahn AG for 15 years, where he introduced the services DB Carsharing and Call a Bike. He is the founder of the Innovation Centre for Mobility and Societal Change (InnoZ GmbH) and was its CEO until June. He is also co-author of recently published books such as “Taumelnde Giganten” and “Erloschene Liebe? Das Auto in der Verkehrswende”.
“As a company, Choice has just the right size to really make a difference. That is essential for the challenges of the digital economy”, Knie explains his employment with the Nuremberg company. “Big corporations do not handle the ongoing change well because they do not understand the digital market. Start-ups are too small and fragile to play a major role in the future market of connected mobility.”
Andreas Knie reports directly to Jürgen Lobach, CEO of Choice GmbH, and will also assists the company in setting up the Choice Academy educational platform as well as in expanding its research and development expertise.
